Celebrating four decades at the forefront of traditional Irish music, Altan brings the soul of Donegal to the Liberty Theater stage. Led by founding fiddler and vocalist Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, the band blends raw Irish tradition with stunning melodic artistry — performing everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House. Their 2024 album Donegalcontinues a legacy that earned them the distinction of being the first Irish traditional band signed to a major label. The Boston Globe calls them "the hottest group in the Celtic realm," and the Irish Echo warns, "under no circumstances should they be missed in concert." Don't miss this rare chance to witness living legends at the Liberty.
