At RelayTix, we believe in transparent pricing AND transparent privacy. We only collect what we need to deliver your tickets, and we never sell your data. Period.

What We Collect

When You Buy Tickets:

  • Email address — To send your tickets and order confirmations
  • Name — For ticket verification at venue entry
  • Phone number — For venue verification and customer support
  • Billing address — Collected by our payment processor at checkout
  • Payment info — Processed by Stripe (we only see the last 4 digits of your card)

Automatically Collected:

  • IP address and browser type
  • Pages you visit on our site
  • Time and date of your visit
  • Purchase timestamps and transaction details

How We Use Your Data

  • Deliver your tickets — Our primary purpose
  • Prevent fraud — Secure QR codes and ticket validation
  • Customer support — Help you when things go wrong
  • Legal compliance — Tax records, dispute resolution
  • Improve our service — We may use anonymous, aggregated analytics

Venue & Event Organizer Data Sharing

Important: Venues receive your purchase data

When you purchase tickets for an event, the venue or event organizer receives access to your:

  • Name and email address — For customer service and entry verification
  • Phone number — For manual verification if needed
  • Purchase timestamp — When you bought your ticket(s)
  • Ticket validation data — Whether your ticket was scanned and when
  • Number of tickets purchased — For capacity planning

For most events, the venue or event organizer is the seller of record. This data sharing allows them to manage entry, provide customer service, verify attendance, and analyze their events. Venues may use this data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Who Else We Share With

We NEVER sell your data!

Besides venue partners, we only share your information with the service providers that run our platform:

  • Stripe — Payment processing (PCI compliant; they handle your full card details, we never see them)
  • Resend — To send your ticket confirmation emails
  • Supabase — Secure database hosting for your order and ticket records
  • Railway — Backend application hosting
  • Vercel — Website hosting and delivery
  • Law enforcement — Only if legally required by valid court order

These providers process data only to deliver their service to us and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. We honor these requests regardless of your state:

  • Know — what personal information we collect and how we use it
  • Access — request a copy of your personal information
  • Correct — fix inaccurate personal information
  • Delete — request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out — of any sale or sharing of personal information (we don't sell it anyway)
  • Limit — the use of sensitive personal information
  • Non-discrimination — we won't treat you differently for exercising your rights

These rights are recognized under laws including California's CCPA/CPRA and similar privacy laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states. To exercise any of them, contact us.

Data Security

We protect your data using:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS everywhere)
  • Industry-standard database security and access controls
  • Limited employee access to personal data
  • Regular security monitoring and updates

Data Retention

We keep your data for:

  • Transaction records — 7 years (tax and accounting requirements)
  • Support tickets — 2 years after resolution
  • Email addresses — Until you request deletion
  • Ticket and QR data — As long as needed for fraud prevention, recordkeeping, and legal obligations

You can request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting support.

We use minimal cookies and local storage for:

  • Keeping you signed in (admin and scanner interfaces)
  • Remembering your cookie consent preferences
  • Security and fraud prevention
  • Basic site analytics (anonymous), where used

RelayTix is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have, we'll delete it immediately.

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. For material changes affecting an active order, we may notify you by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updates.
